The underlying emphasis has remained on the clarion call of “Leave No One Behind”. In considering the objective of the new agenda, sport is looked at as the integrating factor to world peace and development, an integrative tool that brings old and young to spirit of oneness, a human right that must be globally respected and an active teaching and learning aid to correct behavior tendencies among youths and peers. In the declaration of 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, "Sport is also an important enabler of sustainable development. We recognize the growing contribution of sport to the realization of development and peace in its promotion of tolerance and respect and the contributions it makes to the empowerment of women and of young people, individuals and communities as well as to health, education and social inclusion objectives”.  Sport is therefore an important investment in the present and future, particularly in the expectation of the transformative agenda. In these significant consideration and resolve, the UN Secretary General, Mr. Ban Ki Moon affirmed that this year as a year of encouraging sportsmen and women to throw their energy into advocating the new sustainable development agenda of the United Nations through sports. He further noted the need to pledge to strengthen the role that sport plays around the world and use sport to achieve a transformative and sustainable legacy for the future we want and in educating our youths, children and grandchildren to global peace.
Time has come to shape the future development agenda on the importance of sport in achieving overall reflection in working together to build a better world for all, where all the people’s human dignity and human rights and happiness and prosperity and wellbeing will be respected.
Civil Societies, NGOs and Working Groups  in understanding the global agenda of UN on Sports considers it most important to bring the initiative on sports to regional and national communities in keeping youths and children to focus on their sustainable future agenda. This consideration has given precedence to community groups to work along the global agenda on sports and development by establishing a regional platform for African youths and children on sports in support of UN agenda for peace and development.
